Oregon, with the high desert plains, river canyons, glaciers and volcanic peaks is a great place to visit. There is one of the hippest cities in the States - Portland, home town of the Dandy Warhols and a host of other bands. Then there are the beautiful fertile valleys and the wildly romantic Pacific Coast. In fact 400 miles of unspoilt coastline, fantastic seafood and breathtaking scenery with parks like Crater Lake National Park (pictured) and Columbia River Gorge make it a perfect place to experience the freedom of the big country.
